This was my first true fiberglass build ( last was a build 25 years ago with a wound filiment tube with acme fin can but never got to fly it) it's going to be difficult to go back to anything phenolic.
Will be using it for my L1 cert and can't wait to send it up. It was a genuine pleasure to build, and although s but rusty in the paint dept it is easy to get a proper finish. May buy a second nose cone to switch out between single (motor) or dual deploy for my L2 cert.
Fingers crossed I can get my L1 on my birthday in October!
Great kit, that's fun to build and fly. Performed well on H and I motors for me.
Wildman are great and accommodated my wishes for pickup even though I was coming from Australia. They were prompt and had my order available quickly.
Everything arrived in perfect shape. I had a question concerning the motor retainer, but Tim cleared that up the same day; great support! I haven't started building the kit yet because the RockSim file was inaccurate; I'm in the process of creating my own. This is no fault of Tim's; There was a caveat on the website stating that the file accuracy was not guaranteed by Wildman. I took measurements and weights of all parts, so hopefully my simulations will be more realistic. In summary, the kit from Wildman is of exceptional quality and highly recommended for any Level 1 certification attempt.
Nice kit. Great quality. I can’t imagine going with cardboard and wood after building one of these glass kits.
